Product description
Triana y los Puertos is an original seguiriya for flamenco guitar composed by Yago Santos as a heartfelt tribute to the historic Sevillian district of Triana, a place that has played a defining role in the evolution of flamenco. Deeply rooted in tradition, the work seeks to capture the spirit, emotion, and musical identity of one of flamenco's most iconic neighborhoods.
Throughout the composition, Yago Santos pays homage to two of Triana's greatest guitar masters: Niño Ricardo, whose revolutionary style shaped modern flamenco guitar, and Rafael Riqueni, whose poetic and expressive language has become a landmark of contemporary flamenco. While inspired by their artistic legacy, the piece also reflects the composer's own musical voice, blending traditional forms with a personal and distinctive approach.
Triana y los Puertos offers both technical and expressive challenges while remaining faithful to the profound character of the seguiriya. It invites performers to explore the richness of flamenco tradition through a work that bridges heritage and contemporary creativity.
